More About The Nerd Stash Podcasts

Listen to our podcasts here:

The Nerd Stash Show and Nerds Talk Movies

Our gaming podcast, The Nerd Stash Show, covers various stories around the gaming industry. While we do care about every news story on our docket, we try to focus on the conversation above anything else. Because if we aren’t authentic, why would anyone want to listen to us?

A few months into The Nerd Stash Show’s lifespan, we launched Nerds Talk Movies alongside it. Nerds Talk Movies has the same mindset as The Nerd Stash Show but, instead of talking about the gaming industry, we talk about the movie and television side of things.

Look, we’re going, to be honest with you. We aren’t a huge name in the podcasting world. But, we have a vision for the brand’s future and we strongly believe that we can succeed in growing our podcasts into something unique. Hence, this post.

What’s In It For You?

  • Get your start in podcasting with other awesome people who have the same interests.
  • Learn new skills like audio editing, recording audio, promotion, etc.
  • You can use The Nerd Stash podcasts as another notch in your ever-growing resume.
  • If the podcasts continue to grow and we manage to monetize them, we will help provide you with some extra money to improve your equipment.

What We Are Looking For

  • While we would prefer if you did have previous podcasting experience, we just want people who are passionate about their field of choice (The Gaming Industry or Movies/TV Industries).
  • We are also looking for people who are willing to actively help our team. Everyone has their own jobs and personal lives so we aren’t asking for too much time. But, there are always ways to promote and improve the podcasts if you have the free time.
  • Great and respectful communication on and off-air.

When Do We Record?

  • If you are interested in a hosting or co-hosting gig with The Nerd Stash Show podcast, you will need to be available every Thursday at 9:30 PM ET. Our recordings usually run for about 1-2 hours.
  • If you are interested in a hosting or co-hosting gig with the Nerds Talk Movies podcast, you will need to be available every Friday at 7:30 PM ET. Our recordings usually run for about 1-2 hours.

What Do You Need To Record?

  • Some type of audio editing/recording software. We usually use Audacity or Adobe Audition.
  • Discord installed on your desktop or laptop.
  • You don’t need a $400 set-up but, you will need a decent microphone and a pair of headphones. Try to listen to one of our episodes to see if your mic is on-par or better than ours.
  • We may also reach out and ask you to send over an audio sample. We’re doing this just to be sure everything sounds clear and you’re good to join us on the podcasts.
