Indie Ranger is looking for dedicated writers to join our team and contribute content to shine a spotlight on all of the indie gems out there, especially ones that might get overlooked. Our content includes, but is not limited to: Reviews, previews, interviews, Q&A, news and mod coverage.
What is Indie Ranger?
Established in 2017, Indie Ranger has grown from a hobby to a full-blown passion project. 2020 was a rough year and hit many people hard, including the folks at Indie Ranger. In the last 365 days, our growth and content have gone stagnant, however, we’re looking to grow and get back into the scene. We’re looking to make 2021 the comeback year for us.
What are we looking for in a writer?
We are looking for dedicated individuals who love video games and are always looking out for the next hidden gem. There is no prior experience required to write for Indie Ranger, other than a love of video games and a willingness to grow and learn. That said, experienced individuals are more than welcome to apply as well.
As a volunteer position, we are looking to provide writers with the tools necessary to grow and a portfolio of written content that can be used for future opportunities. Learning and growth are part of what we hope to provide you, as well as introductory experience in writing about video games. Our staff is looking to provide a community that you can count on, trust and learn from.
How do I apply?
Applying for a writing position is pretty straight forward. If you’re interested in joining our team and contributing content, you can reach out to us via email or by joining our Discord server and reaching out to the Editor in Chief via DM. Your application should let us get to know you. What kind of games do you like to play? What is your writing experience? What do you hope to get out of this experience? Writing samples are not required, but are helpful for us to gauge your experience in writing, if applicable.
You must sign in to apply for this position.
