GameLuster is looking for a News Editor. We describe ourself as a “playground for your projects”, giving our content creators a large scope to pitch whatever ideas they want, and then work with them to make it happen.
As a diverse team, our team start with all sorts of backgrounds – first writing gig, tenth writing gig – making out output truly unique.
As News Editor, your jobs would include:
*Scheduling and publishing news articles
*Proof reading articles for grammatical errors
*Fact checking news articles, ensuring all facts have links to reliable sources.
*Ensuring news content follows our Luster Network Code of Standards.
*Keeping an eye on gaming news, so you can get someone on the team to cover any breaking news (or cover it yourself!)
Working at GameLuster will also give your the opportunity to:
*Publish your own work on our website and YouTube chanel, written or video
*Appear in our ongoing podcast, Game Busters.
*Have access to review copies of video games, before the general public have access to them
*Attend virtual and physical conventions for free with a press pass.
*Also contribute to our new sister site, FlickLuster.com, if you’re interested in film and television.
As a team full of freelancers, the workload is light enough to fit around your day-to-day life. Almost everyone at GameLuster has a full time job.
Our payment system pays-per-task (editing an article, writing an article, appearing in a podcast etc) so you even as News Editor, you will be able to experiment in different kinds of coverage.
Overall, GameLuster is your crash course to all aspects of Games Media. You being the passion, we’ll make it work.”
